Story Behind the Name

From the movie "A Knights Tale".    The story begins with the poor grandfather, John Thatcher, sending his young grandson across the ocean on a working boat, saying "Change your stars and live a better life than I have". The story ends with William, returning home, now a Knight saying, "Grandfather, I changed my stars".  ​ ​ ​
